5G Access Network

Obiettivi:

Acquiring the knowledge in order to deploy, manage and develop the next generation Radio Access Network for 5G services. New drivers for 5G access network are analyzed: the user centric cell model, the triangle of device categories, network slicing and datacenter edge computing concepts. Transition from Cloud RAN to Next-Gen Cloud RAN is discussed, considering the new trials about NGRAN and new enabler technologies such as Massive MIMO, Windowed OFDM, 5G Subcarrier spacing scalability, BDMA and new pioneer bands.

Prerequisiti:

Mobile Access Network basic understanding.

Technical personnel of new Access Networks involved in deploying, operation tasks and management for carrying the new 5G services.
