This five-day course is designed to provide students with the knowledge required to work with the Juniper Contrail software-defined networking (SDN) solution. Students will gain in-depth knowledge of how to use the OpenStack, Contrail, and Contrail Command UIs, Students will also learn to use APIs and the CLI to perform the Contrail configuration tasks. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience with the features of Contrail.

Introduction to Junos Automation and DevOps

This three-day course provides students with introductory knowledge of how to automate Junos using DevOps automation tools, protocols, and technologies. Students receive hands-on experience with tools and languages relevant to automating the Junos OS platform in a DevOps environment. The course includes an introduction to the basic DevOps practices, Junos APIs, and NETCONF. It then focuses on using Python, PyEZ, Ansible, and REST API to automate Junos. XML, JSON, and YAML are introduced as these languages facilitate Junos automation. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in automating the Junos operating system and device operations.

Junos Automation and DevOps

Obiettivi:

This five-day course provides students with knowledge of how to automate Junos using DevOps automation tools, protocols, and technologies. The course includes introduction to Jinja2 templates, an in-depth discussion of Junos PyEZ library, and detailed explanation of how Ansible, Salt and JSNAPy automation tools are used with Junos. The course introduces students to Junos commit, operation (op), event, and SNMP on-box scripts. Two languages for developing these scripts are discussed: SLAX and Python. The course also explains Juniper Extension Toolkit and related APIs, YANG and OpenConfig. Finally, the course discusses the use of Junos Telemetry Interface and Contrail HealthBot tool, and Junos ZTP feature. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in automating the Junos operating system and device operations.

Specifically, students will learn to use Docker, GitLab, Ansible, The Robot
Framework, and Jenkins. Students will learn and utilize the tools to build a
working DevOps project using two Juniper vMX devices.

Junos Space Essentials

Obiettivi:

This three-day course is designed to provide students with the knowledge required to manage the Junos Space appliance and manage devices with Junos Space. Students will understand how to install Junos Space into a multinode Space Fabric, as well as learn how to administer and monitor the Fabric. Centralized Junos device management options offered by the Junos Space Network Management Platform will be explored, including configuration backup, synchronization, Junos image distribution, and application of templates. Students will also learn how to use Junos Space applications, such as Service Now and Service Insight. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience installing Junos Space into a multinode Space Fabric, navigating the administrative environment, monitoring the Fabric, performing schema updates, and using Junos Space applications.
